When manual testing was cutting deep into Dev time, myself and my co-intern proposed an automated test suite. Together we developed ~200 E2E test cases using TypeScript/PlayWright. By integrating select tests to run as a Git pull-hook, and others to run overnight; we successfuly reduced manual testing time by over 62%.
If any of my experince sparks your interest I'd love chat and dive deep into the specifics, please reach out.
also, I'm looking for places to rock climb in the GTA. If you need a belay or know a great spot to climb I'd love to chat!
Firmware Analysis & QA Tooling @ Gatekeeper
When manual testing is the norm I saw many opportunties to improve the efficeny and quality of QA’s work. I built tools (which are still in use today) which ‘just work’. Allowing any QA member to be more productive; instead of learning how to work with yet another tool.
I also analysed firmeware and reverse engineered netowrk protocols to better understand - and therefore better test - the embedded devices we were working on.
